Shipping Rates

Schaefer Shelving is proud to provide real-time accurate freight rates to its customers. Our website is integrated with a major carrier who, based on the products in your shopping cart, their sizes, weights and shipping locations, will provide the most competitive rate to transport your order. To obtain an estimation of your freight charges, simply add products to the shopping cart, enter delivery zipcode, and obtain estimation. Special services like Residential and Liftgate are offered only during the checkout process.

Delivery Methods

  • Schaefer Shelving offers an array of delivery methods for our customers convenience.
  • Most orders are delivered by LTL truck. Smaller orders can be delivered by Small parcel.
  • We also offer terminal pick up. The order is delivered to the closest trucking terminal, where you can pick it up.
  • In addition to this, you can use your own carrier.
  • Finally, some orders can be picked up at the warehouse.

Packaging Information

  • Schaefer Shelving takes every possible meassure to ensure you receive the order in mint condition.
  • Every order is carefully packaged to minimize possible damages during transit. The pack is custom-designed for every order, since there are not 2 look alikes.
  • With the order, you should receive a packing slip with detailed information on the parts and items received.

Acceptance of the Order

Upon receival of the order, you will be required to sign the carrier's delivery receipt. If parts are damaged or missing, you should note that on the carrier's delivery notice. Failure to do so, may result in additional charges to obtain replacements.

Damages/Replacements/Return/Cancellation Policy

Damages & Freight Claims: Remember: You are the final inspector. Each order is carefully packed and inspected before it leaves our facilities, and the responsibility for its safe delivery is assumed by either you or the carrier, as applicable, upon its acceptance of the shipment. Whether Schaefer has contracted with a carrier for delivery to you (in the event you elect prepaid shipping) or provided product for pick-up by your designated carrier (in the event you elect freight collect or third party shipping) or made available to you for pick-up (in the event you elect customer pick-up), Schaefer's responsibility for safe delivery of the products and merchandise ceases when shipments are received by you or the carrier, as applicable. Therefore, for the protection of all parties it is important that upon receipt of your order you thoroughly inspect your order and confirm that it is received in full and without damage. Along with the order, you will receive a packing list detailing all the products included in your order. You must check your order against this packing list to confirm that all pieces have been received (note: If the packing list is missing from your order this must also be noted upon the carrier's delivery receipt). You should examine the cartons/boxes for any visible signs of damage, such as holes, re-sealed packaging, staining or wetness etc. After you have inspected your order, you may then be required to sign for the shipment to confirm that your order has been delivered complete and in good condition.
